Skylyn Goodenow

Skylyn is a senior in highschool. She is also duel enrolled at a local university. For the last 4 years, she has been a varsity cheerleader and has had the honor of being named Football Cheer Captain for her junior and senior seasons. She is also a 4 year member of Key Club and secretary for National Honor Society. Skylyn has a passion for travel and recently spent time in Europe where she fulfilled a dream of visiting Paris, France and fell in love with Florence, Italy.
Her second passion is skin care and she plans on attending college to become a Dermatology Physican Assistant.
Personal Platform
Skylyn is an advocate for mental health awareness. We live in an age of social media influencers and this has created a rise in people, especially teenagers, struggling with their mental health. So many people are ashamed to admit they're struggling, and we need to eliminate the stigma when those people seek help. She strives to be a positive voice on social media to let people know they are not alone and there's nothing wrong with admitting you want help. Her goal is to normalize taking care of our emotional well-being as much as we do our physical well being.
